INSOTUS's Skilled Worker Program
By going through the Skilled Worker Program applicants will be trained first in getting their English skills to a level
where they can score a 6.0 or higher on the IELTS test and then trained in Canada through various job related workshops.
This category of immigrants includes skilled workers who are assessed to have the education, skills and ability to successfully establish themselves in Canada. Skilled workers are assessed on the basis of specific selection criteria frequently changing. The selection criteria is designed to meet Canada's demographic and labor market needs and takes into account such factors as: age, occupation, occupational demand, work experience, education, ability in English or French, personal suitability, relatives in Canada. Each factor has a certain amount of points.
The current necessary number of points is 67 out of 100.
We advise potential applicants that the new law specifically provides that positive discretion may be exercised by the immigration officer for an application that is meritorious but does not rate the 67 points. The properly presented professional application prepared by a reputable Canadian immigration law firm maximizes your chances of being granted this positive discretion.
Please note that HRDC (Human Resources Development Canada) approval is available and can add 10 points under Arranged Employment category and 5 points under Adaptability category and we regularly help our clients to apply for this.
